  Love this place! Great for food, coffee and atmosphere. Wifi isn't great so don't try working from here, and phone reception also not great inside the shop. Staff are lovely and attentive and it's good to pick up a few grocery items.

  So disappointing compared to the other stores. The salad/hot food bar in the surry hills one for example is about 15x the size of the lane cove one and its fresher with better options. Shelves are often empty. I hope it improves because i love the other stores

  Also, while I am having a vent I would suggest some training for the teenagers at the counter who cannot name basic fruits and veggies. Again, it did not happen once, but multiple times. Really disappointing, as you had a pretty good run initially.

  I use About Life on a regular basis, mostly the one in Rozelle. This week I popped into the one in Lane Cove. I was looking for something and found a sign on the wall next to the shelf saying it was on special so I decided to buy it. I payed and walked out the door when I happened to look at the receipt and saw that I had been charged full price for the item so I went in and commented on that. Together the check out assistant and I walked down to the shelf to have look at the sign. She pointed at the bottom of the sign and said to me "The special expired two days ago"! "Whaat?? I didn't see that!", I said "Why is it still hanging there?". She shrugged her shoulders. I went out, but I think she should have offered to give it to me for the special price.

  I've been putting this off for a while, but I think my patience has just run out. What is it with the empty shelves??? I am not talking about one particular product missing. Empty shelves across multiple product categories. It has been like that for a month now and when I asked staff she just shrug her shoulders not having any explanation.

  Checkouts unattended most of the time. Poor customer service, especially considering the exorbitant prices they think they can charge.
