  This lovely house will always rate 5 stars for me! I made another visit last Sunday with my social group and again was given the most amazing tour and information of the house and the people that have lived in it. The gardens are lovely and you can walk right down to the water and across to a park and oval area for a picnic if you want to. They also can organise a delicious morning tea for group tours which is very inexpensive plus they have quite a few events happening during the year, just check out their website. This was my second visit in 6 months and highly recommend it for anyone.

  Little-known gem! We visited after seeing the sign on Burns Bay Rd many times. We arrived on a Saturday morning shortly after opening (11am), paid only $20 for a family, got a long guided tour, and learned a lot about the history of Lane Cove and the house & restoration. There is an lovely landscaped garden sloping down to the water. And the Victorian-era household items are very interesting. It's packed full of curiosities & contraptions. Ample parking off Burns Bay Rd.

  The resident care taker had us view the historical video of the House. He showed us through the house and garden, pointing out features and details that made the old families' way of life come alive... I'm sure my friend and I heard babies cries in the hall. We were stunned at the discovery on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
